No. 6 Women’s Golf Finish Round 2 at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The No. 6 Arkansas women’s golf team found some trouble in the tough back nine at Long Cove Club in the second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Arkansas shot an 11-over 295 on Tuesday to fall to 11th out of 17 teams going into the final day of play, which is expected to be tough with bad weather rolling in.

Ela Anacona recovered nicely from a tough round on Monday, leading the Hogs with a 1-over 72. She started the day with one of her two birdies on hole 2 and had just three bogeys with 13 pars. She is in a tie for 68th with an 8-over 150 (78-72).

Maria José Marin shot a 2-over 73 on Tuesday. She had 15 pars but also had three bogeys. After two rounds, José Marin is in a tie for 24th with a 2-over 144 (70-74). José Marin has the third most pars in the field with 29.

Kendall Todd finished the round with a 3-over 74. She started out the day with birdies on holes three and six, but logged five bogeys, including four on holes 11-14. After two rounds, Todd is in a tie for 31st at 3-over 145.

Miriam Ayora shot a 4-over 75. She started the round with back-to-back birdies on holes three and four to log three on the day, but also had five bogeys and a double bogey on hole 15. Ayora is in a tie for 55th with a 5-over 147 (72-75).

Reagan Zibilski was 6-over 77 on Tuesday. She had six bogeys, including seven on the front nine, with 10 pars and a birdie. She is in a tie for 58th with a 6-over 148 (71-77).

Arkansas was in fifth at one point of the round at even through 7-8 holes, but finished that tough back nine 11-over par. The Hogs have the second most pars in the field with 120.
