No. 7 Soccer overpowers Missouri State, 7-0

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 7 Razorback Soccer (10-2, 7-1 SEC) overpowered Missouri State (1-3-1) on Tuesday night in a 7-0 victory against the Bears. Six different Razorbacks put away a goal in Arkansas’ largest margin of win since back-to-back 7-0 victories against McNeese State and Lamar in 2019. The Hogs recorded 33 shots against the Bears and transfer Hannah Warner notched a shutout in the first game in goal at Arkansas.

How It Happened

>> Reagan Swindall got the scoring started at the 15-minute mark after heading home a Haley VanFossen free kick. Swindall and VanFossen also connected with the long ball to record the first goal of the fall against LSU.

>> Taylor Malham headed the ball across the box and Anna Podojil sent a shot off the right woodwork for another goal at the 37th-minute.

>> Freshman Ainsley Jeffrey added her first goal as a Razorback in the 44th-minute. After a block from the Bears ‘keeper, the rookie collected the rebound on the backside and put it away in the open goal.

>> Parker Goins sidestepped a defender and cut away from another before putting a lefty shot through a crowd of Bears and to the back of the goal. The goal by Goins made it 4-0 Arkansas just 10 minutes into the second half.

>> Coming off a fall in which she was named to the SEC All-Freshman team, Ava Tankersley netted her fourth goal of the season in the 71st-minute. Razorback defender Bryana Hunter was credited with the assist.

>> Tyler Runnels put a one-timer to the back of the net with her left foot as the ball was bouncing just outside the Bears’ six-yard box.

>> A. Podojil netted her second goal of the night as she was fed into open space by Goins. Podojil went one-on-one with the Missouri State goalie and beat her to the near side.
