No. 8 Women’s Golf in Sixth After Two Rounds at SEC Championship

BELLEAIR, Fla. – The No. 8 Arkansas women’s golf team is in sixth place at the 2024 SEC Championship after the second round, carding a 12-over 292 on Saturday amid tough playing conditions with gusty winds. Arkansas is two shots behind fifth-place Georgia, who jumped seven spots on the leaderboard, as well as four shots ahead of the cutline at +18, in which the top eight teams will advance to Monday’s match play.

Kendall Todd carded a 2-over 72 on Saturday behind two birdies, 13 pars, two bogeys and one double bogey. She is now tied for eighth with a 1-under 139 (67-72). Todd has the second most pars in the tournament field with 28.

Kajal Mistry also carded a 2-over 72 with two birdies, 12 pars and four bogeys to remain in a tie for 21st. After two rounds, Mistry has a 3-over 143 (71-72).

Maria José Marin had a 3-over 73 after tallying two birdies, 11 pars and five bogeys. She has a 7-over 147 (74-73) to sit in a tie for 38th going into Sunday’s round. José Marin holds the second-best par 3s average at 2.63

Miriam Ayora finished with another 5-over 75, this time counting toward Arkansas’ score. She had three birdies, 10 pars and four bogeys, but ran into some trouble at hole 18, which ultimately led her to finishing 5-over par. Ayora is tied for 55th with a 10-over 150.

Reagan Zibilski logged a 6-over 76 with one birdie,10 pars and seven bogeys. She is now tied for 32nd with a 6-over 146 (70-76). The Hogs have the third most pars in the tournament field with 115.
