Razorback Duo Wraps Up Play at UTR PTT Lincoln
Lincoln, Neb. –Two Razorbacks competed this past week at the UTR PTT Lincoln Tournament at Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb.
On Monday, the Hogs picked up a singles wins, with Anastasija Adeikyte, who defeated Bentley Sparks in a straight-set match, 6-4, 6-2. Natalie Oliver fell short to Chloé Zigliara during the first day of the tournament, 7-5, 6-3. Oliver bounced back on during day two of the tournament, defeating Reya Lee Coe in two straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. In afternoon play, Adeikyte fell short in day two against Kasia Chen, 6-2, 7-5.
During day three of competition, Oliver took down Katie Spencer in a three-set battle, 7-6, 3-6, 6-1. Meanwhile in singles play, Anastasija Adeikyte came up short against Conley Raidt, 6-1, 6-1, to conclude play in day three of the tournament.
During The Playoff Stage the two Hogs went head-to-head in a three-set battle. Oliver came up with the victory, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5. To close out the tournament, the hogs secured two singles wins. Starting with Adeikyt, she defeated Chukwunoneeru Smarty in two sets, 6-2, 7-5, to conclude her run at the tournament. On the adjacent court, Oliver earned a win against Addy Rogin, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5, to conclude the Razorbacks’ run at the tournament.
The Hogs finished the tournament with six singles wins, highlighted by Oliver’s four victories and ninth-place finish. Adeikyt added two wins to finish 11 overall. Both Razorbacks closed out their runs with wins, as Adeikyte defeated Chukwunoneeru Smarty, 6-2, 7-5, and Oliver rallied past Addy Rogin, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5.
