Razorbacks Finish Darius Rucker Intercollegiate
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Arkansas women’s golf had a tough day on the course, ending the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in 17th place with a 52-over 904 (307-297-300). The Razorbacks finished six strokes behind 16th-place Furman after Arkansas shot 16-over on the day. LSU won the tournament with a 6-over 858.
Kajal Mistry led the Razorbacks with a 10-over 223 (77-72-74). The senior ran into some trouble on a pair of holes, but came up with four big birdies and 10 pars to log a 3-over 74. Mistry tied for 49th in the field of 90.
Miriam Ayora finished the tournament strong on a challenging course with a 2-over 73 on Wednesday. She logged just two bogeys and rounded out the round with 16 pars. Her 12-over 225 (79-73-73) put her at a tie for 58th in the field. Ayora and Mistry averaged a 3.0 on par 3s, which was among the top of the field.
Kendall Todd registered a 13-over 226 (75-75-76) at the tournament in the No. 5 spot in the lineup, tying for 63rd. She recorded one birdie and 11 pars, including in her last five holes. Todd performed the best on par 5s with a 4.89 average.
Freshman Meghan Royal completed the tournament in a tie for 77th with an 18-over 231 (76-78-77). She finished the third round with a 77, completing her back nine holes with just one bogey compared to one birdie and seven pars. Giovanna Fernandez finished the tournament in a tie for 88th with a 28-over 241 (80-77-84).
