Razorbacks Make Statement at Home

Final Results

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s track and field team displayed its versatility Saturday at the John McDonnell Invitational. The No. 7 team in the land compiled numerous remarkable achievements on their home track in Fayetteville.

Top Performances
Freshman Erich Sullins opened day two of the John McDonnell Invitational breaking the program record for the second time this year. The Arlington, Texas native unleashed a throw of 56.80/186-4 in his third attempt eclipsing his previous top mark of 56.46/185-3 set earlier this year at the Arkansas Spring Invitational.

Cale Wallace showed peak form in the 1,500-meter run leading the way for the Arkansas distance runners. The senior captain placed himself fourth on national top times’ list with a personal record of 3 minutes 40.67 seconds.

In his first 800 of the outdoor season freshman Carlton Orange broke his previous top time of 1:47.38 set back in his first 800 of the indoor season. Orange pushed himself to a new personal best of 1:46.96 which places him comfortably in national qualifying position.

Senior Marqueze Washington raced up the top times list in the nation and program history. Washington posted top 10 national times in the 100 and 200 crossing the line in 10.19 and 20.49, respectively. His mark in the 100 places him with the fourth best time in Arkansas history for the event.
