FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s track and field team returned home to Fayetteville to kick off their first full day of competition Friday at the John McDonnell Invitational. The second-ranked Razorbacks collected notable performances in the high jump, long jump and 3,000-meter run.

Top Performances
Two Razorback high jumpers posted superb performances as Carmen Sitz matched her personal best with a 1.70/5-7 and Taliyah Brooks captured third place in the competition with a clearance of 1.75/5-8 3/4.

In the 3,000 all three Arkansas runners crossed the line with sub-11 times. Kelsey Schrader raced to the best time of her outdoor season in the event. The time of 10 minutes, 10.01 seconds pushed Schrader into second place behind another Razorback, Rachel Nichwitz, who competed unattached.

Rachel Jantzi, competing in the long jump, posted a distance of 5.18/17-0 good for fourth. The freshman recorded her best jump of the outdoor season and has now cleared 17 feet three times this year.

• Long Jump – Rachel Jantzi (4) 17-0
