Round Two Suspended

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The early morning was cut short when weather suspended play in round two of the 2019 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship at Blessings Golf Club on Saturday.

Arkansas was in the midst of a solid round, just 3-over through the middle of the second nine holes when action was halted. Razorback senior Maria Fassi was 2-under through 11 holes and in second place, trailing the leader by one shot.

Senior Kaylee Benton was also 2-under on the 12th hole. Benton is currently T3.

Play was halted around 11 a.m. and officials officially suspended the remainder of play around 5 p.m.

Resumption of Round 2: Play will begin at 10 a.m. The teams who did not finish Saturday’s round will continue from their most recent hole. The second flight of teams will tee of from holes 1 and 10 with tee times. Please check Golfstat.com for appropriate tee times. The event will be shortened to 54 holes with the individual winner crowed after Monday’s play. The top-8 teams move on to match play Tuesday and Wednesday.
