Senior Hogs Shine On Day Four of Championship Week

Knoxville, Tenn. – The Arkansas Swimming gave incredible performances throughout day four of the SEC Championships. The Razorbacks had three school records broken and had five personal best records broken. The Razorbacks broke the school record in the 400 Medley Relay, but also Seniors Andrea Sansores and Vanessa Herrmann broke the school record in both of their respected events. Sansores broke the school record in the 100 Backstroke final with a time of 51.83. Herrmann broke the school record in the 100 Breaststroke final with a time of 58.85. Senior Kobie Melton and Sophomore Bradi Jones both had personal best as well.

“Wow, what a great day for the Hogs! Lots of season and personal bests today, but then 3 school records tonight took our success to another level. Andrea broke her 100 back record again and then Vanessa finally took down the 100 breast record that had stood for 9 years.”  “To see them combine with Kobie and Bella and beat the 400 Medley Relay record by 2 seconds was amazing.
The team is positive and performing well, we are looking forward to the last day of competition tomorrow,” said Coach Harper.
