Solid Second Round Keeps Arkansas Near The Top

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of Arkansas seniors Dylan Kim and Cara Gorlei remain in the top-10 while Maria Fassi vaulted up the leaderboard just outside of the top players in round two action of the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on Saturday.

Kim remains T-3rd overall shooting 68-71=139. She is four shots back of the leader and just one shot out of second place. Gorlei moved up two spots into eighth place shooting 69-72=141 while Fassi climbed 15 spots to a T-11th overall with rounds of 73-70=143.

Junior college transfer Grace St-Germain and freshman Ximena Gonzalez both bettered their round one scores on Saturday. St-Germain is T-47th shooting 75-74=149 while Gonzalez is T58th at 77-75-152.

Arkansas was one of just two schools who posted an under-par round on the Finley Golf Course. The Razorbacks shot a 1-under 287 and remain in third place with a 572 with one round to play.
