Team Athletics Success
Our Vision in Razorback Athletics is – To Be the Best! Being ranked in the nation’s top 25 and competing for SEC and NCAA championships will always be the standard on which we evaluate our progress toward that vision.
Since 1994, the Learfield IMG Sports Directors’ Cup has been ranking the most successful athletics programs in the nation. Since that time, the University of Arkansas has been a mainstay among the nation’s best. The 2018-19 competitive year proved no differently.
Thanks to the success of our student-athletes and coaches, we once again led the nation in national rankings among programs with 19 or fewer sports and secured a top-25 overall ranking for the 10th time in the past 12 years. It all speaks to the outstanding program we have here at the University of Arkansas and the loyal support of the Razorback Nation for all 19 of our sports.
Ultimately, competing and winning SEC and NCAA championships is our goal. No one has answered the call more in the past few years than our women’s track and field program. In 2018-19, our women’s program swept all three SEC title (cross country, indoor and outdoor track), while capturing the third and fourth women’s NCAA championships in school history at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, respectively.
For the first time since 1995, our men’s golf team rallied to win the SEC Men’s Golf Championship. Arkansas has now won both the SEC women’s and men’s golf championships in just the past two years. Our baseball team continued its great run, capturing a share of an SEC Western Division title before making our program’s 10th trip to the College World Series.
Outstanding performances by our soccer, men’s cross country, men’s indoor track and field and women’s basketball teams ended just one step shy of additional SEC team championships. In all, the collective success of our program served notice to the SEC and those around the country, that Arkansas will continue to be vie for championships year in and year out in the nation’s most competitive conference.

Ranked Razorbacks
Arkansas is no stranger to national rankings. In 2018-19, 14 of 19 teams made an appearance in their respective national polls. Our women’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams not only held No. 1 national rankings, they went on to win the NCAA Championship in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
