Mistry & Anacona Earn WGCA All-America Scholar Honors

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Arkansas graduate students Kajal Mistry and Ele Anacona have each been named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team for the fourth time in their careers.

To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur on the team’s roster through the close of the team’s season and have played in 50 percent of the collegiate’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Head coach Shauna Taylor continues to coach a group of women who achieve success both on and off the golf course. Coming off her 17th season at the helm, this year became the 15th year, eighth consecutively, at least one of her student-athletes was named to the team. In all Razorbacks have combined for 48 WGCA Academic All-America Scholar honors since 1997.

Kajal Mistry
Mistry has been named to the WGCA All-America Scholar Team for the fourth straight year. She owns a 3.8 GPA in her major of operations management. This past season, Mistry was second on the team with six rounds in the 60’s and she was third on the team with a season scoring average of 72.63. She was co-medalist at the 2024 NCAA Las Vegas Regional, propelling the Razorbacks to the NCAA Championship. For her career, Mistry played in 45 events and had a career scoring average of 73.57 to rank ninth on the school’s all-time list while earning All-America and first team All-SEC honors in 2022.

Ela Anacona
Anacona also earns her fourth career WGCA All-America Scholar Team recognition (2020, 2021, 2022, 2024). She had a 3.857 GPA in statistics and analytics business analytics. Anacona played in seven events in 2023-24 and had a scoring average of 73.95 with two top 10 finishes (fourth at Blessings Collegiate Invitational and 10th at Purdue Puerto Rico Classic). In addition this season, Anacona won the Women’s Latin America Amateur Championship. In doing so, she earned an invitation to compete at the 2024 AIG Women’s Open at St. Andrews, at the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship and the Chevron Championship while earning exemptions to Women’s Amateur Championship, the ANNIKA Invitational and the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational. For her career, Anacona played in 35 events and had a career scoring average of 74.09 to rank 11th in Razorback history.
