2024 Schedule Unveiled for Razorback Volleyball

Coming off their best finish in program history, the Volley Hogs are gearing up for another exciting season in 2024 and the schedule is officially set.

Arkansas will play a total of 38 matches this fall, 12 with non-conference opponents before the SEC slate begins. The Hogs have 12 matches at Barnhill Arena on deck, including a five-team tournament in September. The schedule features 26 opponents from 11 different conferences.

2024 also introduces a new SEC schedule format as Oklahoma and Texas officially make the jump into conference play this season. The Hogs will play each team at least once and has repeat meetings with Ole Miss and Oklahoma.

“It’s an exciting time within the SEC Conference. With expansion comes a new conference schedule, one that will further challenge our team but enhance the possibilities for post-season play,” head coach Jason Watson said. “In non-conference, we are set to play several teams who have traditionally seen remarkable success within their respective leagues. Overall, this schedule will provide us opportunities to grow and develop as the season progresses.”

Following an exhibition match against Missouri State in Springfield on Aug. 22, the Razorbacks head west and open the season on the road with the Mustang Invitational at Cal Poly. Arkansas takes on St. Mary’s, Sacramento State and Cal Poly Aug. 30-31.

The team then returns to NWA to host a four-day, five-team tournament at Barnhill Arena, the Wooo Pig Invitational. The Hogs will play one match a day from Thursday-Sunday, against Rutgers, Wichita State, Louisiana Tech and Little Rock, respectively.

Arkansas makes the short trip to Tulsa the following weekend and faces off against the Golden Hurricane on Sept. 12 and Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 13. Both are familiar opponents as Tulsa’s head coach Lauren Ramatowski is a former Arkansas assistant, and Stephen F. Austin was the Hogs’ opening match-up in the 2023 NCAA tournament first round at Barnhill Arena.

The Razorbacks head to the 305 to cap off the non-conference slate at the Canes Classic. Arkansas will play host Miami on Sept. 19, Florida International on Sept. 20, and Texas Tech on Sept. 21.

The first two matches of the SEC schedule will be at home for the Hogs: Georgia on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and Ole Miss on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Arkansas hits the road for the first Sunday in October and the Razorbacks play the Sooners in Norman on Oct. 6 – the first-ever SEC match between the two. The team has a week before their next match, at home against Alabama, on Oct. 13.

The Hogs then take a trip to the Lone Star State for matches with Texas and Texas A&M, in Austin on Oct. 18 and in College Station on Oct. 20.

A Friday night tilt with the Tigers follows as Arkansas takes on Missouri at Barnhill on Oct. 25, and the Razorbacks will spend that Sunday in Starkville and play Mississippi State on Oct. 27. The Hogs finish the month at home, a midweek match-up with Florida on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

A pair of Barnhill matches kick off November for Arkansas, against Auburn on the third and against South Carolina on the eighth. The Hogs then have a four-match road swing across four states: At Ole Miss in Oxford on Nov. 15, at LSU in Baton Rouge on Nov. 17, at Tennessee in Knoxville on Nov. 22, and at Kentucky in Lexington on Nov. 24.

The Hogs conclude the regular season against the Sooners at Barnhill Arena on Nov. 27, the first time since the 2020-21 season that the team gets to wrap up at home.

Arkansas finished the 2023 slate in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, the best finish in program history. The Hogs had a 28-6 record, their third straight 20-win season under head coach Jason Watson, and the most wins since 1999. They matched their highest ranking ever in the final coaches poll of the season at No. 8.

Reserved season ticket renewals are now open via Razorback ticket accounts or by calling the ticket office, with a renewal deadline of June 28. General admission season tickets are also now on sale for $40 and can be accessed HERE.
