Arkansas Earns No. 6 Seed In SEC Tournament
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After finishing the regular season winning six of its last eight games, the Arkansas men’s basketball team will be the No. 6 seed in the 2018 SEC Tournament at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis next week.
Earning a first round bye, the Razorbacks will play their SEC Tournament opener in the second round on Thursday, March 8 at approximately 8:30 p.m. against the winner of No. 11 seed South Carolina versus No. 14 seed Ole Miss.
Since the conference expanded to 14 teams in the 2012-13 season, Arkansas has played in the second round just once, losing to Florida in 2016, 68-61.
Arkansas is making its 27th SEC Tournament appearance where it has an all-time record of 24-25, including a berth in the championship game in two of the last three years.
After being voted to finish sixth in the league by the media, Arkansas finished higher than it was picked for the fifth straight season, finishing 21-10 overall and 10-8 in league play, good for a three-way tie for fourth place with Kentucky and Missouri.
