Razorbacks Begin Second Week Of Spring Practice
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas football team returned to the Fred W. Smith outdoor practice fields Monday for its second week of spring practice.
Monday’s practice was the first of four slated for this week. The Razorbacks will practice four times a week for the next three weeks leading up to the annual Red-White Spring Game Saturday, April 23.
After donning pads for the first time Saturday, the Razorbacks went through 18 periods in shoulder pads and helmets. The shorter day comes after a practice on Saturday that included a 62-play scrimmage.
The team focused on special teams for the first few periods then split up for individual position drills before moving to team drills. After spending the first two practices working on first and second down situations, the Razorbacks worked on third down situations for the first time this spring.
The Razorbacks return to the field tomorrow for the fifth of 15 practices.
Kickoff for the spring game is scheduled for noon in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The event is free and open to the public.
