#1 Razorbacks Finish Fall with 3rd Title

SAUCIER, Miss. – Freshman Lev Grinberg fired a 5-under-par round of 67 and led #1 Arkansas to its third title in four fall events as the Razorbacks finished in a three-way tie for medalist honors at the Fallenn Oak Collegiate Invitational.

#12 Illinois, which turned in a 2-under-par round on Monday, and #46 South Carolina, which led the field with a 4-under-par round, tied Arkansas for the team title.

The Razorbacks close the fall portion of their 2026-27 schedule with three wins and a runner-up finish. Arkansas won its season opener at the Vuori Invitational, its own Blessings Collegiate Invitational and the Fallen Oak Collegiate, while finishing runner-up – by one stroke – at the Bryan Bros Collegiate.

Grinberg, a preseason All-American, carded a bogey-free round of 67 and finished runner-up (73-73-67=212 / -4), one stroke off the lead. On the front nine, he birdied the par-4, 4th with eight pars. Grinberg opened the back nine with a birdie 10 and followed with birdies on holes 12, 14 and 15. With his five birdies in the final round, Grinberg tied for the tournament lead with 13 birdies. The 67 tied for the score by Razorback this fall, while he and Niilo Maki-Petaja are the only Razorbacks to post rounds of 5-under this fall.

Senior Thomas Curry continued his strong play this fall as he finished among the top-7 in all four events. On Monday, he turned in a 73 and tied for sixth with a 1-under-par total of 215. Also, Gerardo Gomez completed a solid fall campaign. The junior tied for 19th and joined Curry as the only Hogs to finish among the top 20 in all four events

Freshman Guus Lafeber, who played as an individual, tied for 30th. He finished with a 6-over total of 223 with rounds of 77-71=74.

Erich Fortlage tied Curry with the team’s second-best round of the day, carding a 73. He and Maki-Petaja tied for 42nd with a 54-hole total of 225 (+9).

Arkansas will continue its 2026-27 schedule Feb. 14-16 in Panama City Beach, Fla., at the Watersound Invitational, an event Arkansas Watersound last season.
