Arkansas only trailed for three holes over five matches and cruised to a 5-0 victory over Kentucky to wrap up the SEC Match Play, hosted by Jerry Pate at Old Overton Club.

Arkansas slipped one spot and finished 12th (841 / +1) after 54 holes of stroke play at the SEC Match Play, hosted by Jerry Pate at Old Overton Club. The event will conclude Tuesday with Arkansas facing Kentucky in one round of match play.

Arkansas had a slow start but rallied with a 9-under-par 271 Sunday afternoon to stand in a tie for 11th with a 36-hole score of 557 (-3) at the SEC Match Play, hosted by Jerry Pate at Old Overton Club.

Last year, Arkansas won four matches over three days to claim the inaugural SEC Match Play title. However, year two of the event – set for Sept. 25-27 – will be a different format and played at a different course, albeit a place Razorbacks have had success in the past.

Redshirt sophomore Manuel Lozada posted a 67 (-5) in the final round of the Frederica Cup to cap his best tournament as a Razorback.

After missing last season due to injury, redshirt sophomore Manuel Lozada opened the 2022-23 season with a career-low 66 and helped Arkansas shoot a 16-under-par, 704 through the opening two rounds of the Frederica Cup.

The Arkansas Razorback men’s golf program will open the 2022-23 season at the inaugural Frederica Cup, played at Frederica Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga., Wednesday (Sept. 7) and Thursday (Sept. 8).

Former Razorback All-American Nicolas Echavarria shot a bogey-free 66 in the final round at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship to finish fifth (tied) at 17-under which propelled him to 20th in final standings to secure his PGA TOUR card for next season.
