Razorbacks Win Blessings Collegiate Invitational; All 9 Hogs Finish Among the Top 15

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas finished with a 6-under-par 858 and cruised to a 22-stroke win at the 7th annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, presented by Tyson Foods.

It marks the fourth time Arkansas has won its own BCI and the second team title for the Razorbacks, to go along with a runner-up finish, in three events this season.

UNC Greensboro, led by medalist BJ Boyce, had the round of the day, shooting a 7-under 281, to move up one spot into second. Boyce fired a bogey-free, 8-under to move up seven spots to the top of the leaderboard. The 64 by Boyce was one off both the tournament and course record of 64, set by LSU’s Algot Kleen in 2024.

Arkansas placed all five of its players in the lineup among the top 10 while four additional Hogs playing as individuals placed among the top 15.

  • Niilo Maki-Petaja finished second with a 3-under 213 (67-75-71). It is the second time Maki-Petaja has finished runner-up and it marked his 20th top-20 finish in 38 events played in his collegiate career.
  • Thomas Curry finished third with a 2-under 214 (69-73-72). Curry has finished among the top 10 in all three events this season (T-5, T-7 and 3rd).
  • Erich Fortlage finished fifth with an even-par 216 (69-75-72). Fortlage, who was runner-up in his only other event this season, recorded his eighth career top-5.
  • Lev Grinberg finished sixth with a 1-over 217 (68-75-74).
  • Individuals Guus LaFeber and Cam Smith tied for seventh with a 3-over 219. Lafeber had the low round by the Razorbacks on Monday with a 69, while Smith was second-best among the Hogs with a 70.
  • Gerardo Gomez tied for 10th with a 4-over 220 (69-78-73).
  • Individuals Neo Berg and Willie Gordon tied for 15th with an 8-over 224.
