Wilson Has Career High

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Arkansas dropped the first of two Southeastern Conference road games this week with a 90-65 loss at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, on Thursday.

Arkansas (11-6, 0-4 SEC) struggled offensively in the first half getting behind early and having to play catch-up in front of the Aggies’ (13-4, 3-1 SEC) largest crowd of the year.

Razorback freshman Aaliyah Wilson dropped in a career-best 20 while sophomores Malica Monk and Keiryn Swenson were also in double figures with 16 and 10, respectively. Senior Jessica Jackson was held to single digits for the second consecutive game with 5 points,

Texas A&M opened the game on a 10-2 run that put the Razorbacks behind early. Arkansas opened the game with a two-point basket from Jessica Jackson at the 8:26 mark and got its second field goal from Malica Monk at 5:43 in the first frame. That deficit proved difficult to overcome.

Arkansas struggled against a hot-shooting Texas A&M team. The Aggies shot 66% in the game going 35-for-53 from the floor. Forty-six of those points came in the paint against and undersized Razorback team.
