#13 Razorback MGolf Heads to South Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE – Coming off a win in its season opener, the #13 Arkansas Men’s Golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 28-29) at The Bryan Bros Collegiate, played in West Columbia, S.C., at Solina Golf Club.

The second annual event also features returning champion and #17 LSU, host South Carolina, #26 Ole Miss and #45 Liberty. The rest of the 16-team field includes Chattanooga, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Louisville, Mercer, Michigan, North Florida, UAB, Wofford and Winthrop.

Head coach Brad McMakin will take four of the five Razorbacks from the season opener (Thomas Curry, Gerardo Gomez, Lev Grinberg and Niilo Maki-Petaja), add Erich Fortlage to the lineup and have freshman Neo Berg make his collegiate debut playing as an individual.

Gomez led the Hogs in the season opener, placing third with rounds of 67-74-70. Since the start of the spring season in 2026, Gomez has carded 20 of his 27 rounds at par or better, including 12 rounds in the 60’s, and has a scoring average of 69.96 over the span (9 tournaments).

Curry also had a strong opener, tying for fifth, while Maki-Petaja (T-11) and Grinberg (T-14) added top-15 finishes.

Fortlage, who was tabbed All-SEC last season, led the team with eight top-20 finishes last season while tying for the team lead with four top-5 finishes.

After The Bryan Bros Collegiate, the Razorbacks are back at it later in the week by hosting the 7th Annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, presented by Tyson Foods, Oct. 3-5.
