Razorbacks Head to Conway For Next Exhibition Match

CONWAY, Ark. — Entering its final week of the 2018 spring schedule, the Razorback soccer team will play its third of four spring exhibitions on Sunday when it takes on fellow conference foe, Ole Miss, about two hours south in Conway, Arkansas on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas. First kick is slated for 2 p.m. at the Bill Stephens Track and Soccer Complex.

Sunday’s exhibition is the second spring match that the Razorbacks will have played against a team from the Southeastern Conference. They played Mississippi State last month to kick off the spring schedule, winning 1-0 on a 31st-minute header goal from sophomore-to-be Taylor Malham.

“We wanted to set up as challenging of a spring schedule as possible,” Arkansas head coach Colby Hale said. “Our group has been working hard and we know it will be another good test. We’re excited about it.”

Malham recently spent a week on a tour of Switzerland with the US Women’s National U-18 Team. She scored a goal in the second and final match of the tour in the 18th minute, helping the U.S. to tie the Switzerland U-19 National Team, 1-1.

Arkansas is coming off an 11-win season last fall, which included a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five years. Arkansas also reached its second-straight SEC Tournament final, winning three matches in five days to become the lowest-seeded team ever to reach the tournament’s final match.

Kick-off Sunday is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Stephens Track and Soccer Complex on the campus of UCA in Conway. Admission will be free.
