2022 Volleyball Season Schedule Released

The Razorbacks officially take the court in two months and the full schedule for the Volley Hogs’ 2022 campaign is ready.

Arkansas will host three home tournaments to kick off its regular season schedule, and will have 16 total home matches in 2022, the most since 2014 and in head coach Jason Watson’s tenure. Nine of those will be against SEC teams, and six 2021 NCAA tournament teams will visit Barnhill Arena over the course of the season.

“The challenge we face is putting together a schedule that has us playing solid volleyball from the first match to the last. Our 2022 schedule will do just that,” head coach Jason Watson said. “It’s exciting to have so many home matches, and we are eager to play in front of our growing fanbase. The season will be here soon. Our team is highly motivated to outperform last season.”

The Hogs will look to build on record home support seen in the 2021 season, which included a new record for season tickets sold, 35 percent growth in average attendance compared to the 2019 season, and a spot in the top 50 in the country in average attendance (47), nearly 40 spots better than 2019 and in the top 14 percent among the nation’s 334 Division I volleyball programs. Arkansas went 7-5 last season at home and is 263-129 all-time at Barnhill Arena.

The deadline for renewals for returning season ticket holders is 5 p.m. on June 30, and those purchasing for the first time can do so now through the Razorback Ticket Center.

Non-Conference
The Hogs get action going with an exhibition match at Missouri State on August 18 before beginning the regular season with the Arkansas Classic Aug. 26-27 with the Washington Huskies.

The Razorbacks then head west to Fort Collins, Colo. for their only away non-conference action, a tournament at Colorado State Sept. 1-3 with host CSU, Alabama State and Florida Gulf Coast. The Hogs take on the Rams Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m., the Hornets Sept. 2 at 4:30 p.m. and the Eagles Sept. 3 at 11 a.m.

Arkansas welcomes Arkansas-Little Rock, Colorado and Florida International the following weekend for the Arkansas Invitational Sept. 8-9. The Razorbacks begin play on Thursday with FIU at 7 p.m. and play two on Friday with Little Rock set for 10 a.m. and Colorado for 7:30 p.m.

The Razorbacks stay home for the Arkansas Challenge Sept. 15-16 and will face annual foes NC State and Georgia Tech. The Hogs/Hornets match-up will take place on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and the Wolfpack will take on the home team on Sept. 16 at the same time.

Halfway through the conference schedule, the Hogs take a week off from there before traveling south to Gainesville for two matches against the Gators on Oct. 29 and 30 at 1 p.m. and 12 p.m.

Arkansas’ final midweek home match will be Gamecocks versus Hogs with South Carolina coming to town on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. The Hogs end their week in Athens with a Sunday afternoon match at Georgia on Nov. 6 at 4 p.m.
