Arkansas No. 19 in preseason national poll, South Central No. 1

FAYETTEVILLE – In the second cross country season with Razorback coach Marc Burns, Arkansas is ranked No. 19 in the USTFCCCA preseason national coaches’ poll and No. 1 in the South Central Region.

The Razorbacks are one of five SEC schools among the nation’s top 30 heading into the 2026 campaign. Alabama is the top conference school at a tie for No. 11 followed by Florida (14), South Carolina (16), Arkansas (19), and Missouri (24). SEC schools receiving votes include Tennessee, LSU, and Texas A&M.

North Carolina State claimed 11 first-place votes to headline the women’s national preseason poll over New Mexico, Iowa State, BYU, Oregon, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Northern Arizona, Stanford, and Penn State among the top 10.

The Razorbacks are the top team in the South Central Region ahead of Texas A&M, Tulane, LSU, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington, Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Rice.
