Arkansas Splits Points with Georgia in 2-2 Draw at Razorback Field

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas soccer moved to 1-1-1 in SEC play after a 2-2 draw with Georgia (3-3-4, 0-1-2 SEC) on Thursday night at Razorback Field.

The Hogs extended their unbeaten streak against the SEC at home to 28 matches (25-0-3), dating back to 2020.

Both of Arkansas’ goals came from first-time scorers this season, with junior Kyndal Ewertz scoring the opener in the 39th minute and freshman Lauren Van Rhein scoring the game-tying goal in the 52nd minute.

Ewertz headed in a lofted ball from senior Sabrina Jones, who recorded her second assist of the season.

Van Rhein also scored a header, this one a cross from the Hogs’ points leader Zoe Susi. Susi notched her first assist of the season and ninth point.

Georgia scored two unanswered goals within four minutes of each other in the 43rd and 47th minutes from Mona Childs and Kieren Jeter, respectively.

The Razorbacks doubled the Bulldogs in shots, 18-9, and forced four saves on goalkeeper Jordan Brown. Arkansas keeper Keegan Smith made a pair of saves in the first half.

Game Notes

• Ewertz and Van Rhein became Arkansas’s 11th and 12th goal scorers this season.
• The Hogs took 16 corner kicks, the most in a match since 2022.
• Arkansas was cautioned three times, a season high.

The Hogs will host Auburn on Sunday, September 27 at 1 p.m. The Tigers (6-1-3, 2-1-0 SEC) defeated Missouri, 2-0, on Thursday night.
