Arkansas Starts SEC Tournament Play Against No. 40 Kentucky

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s tennis team (5-17, 2-13) travels to Auburn, Ala. to begin postseason play at the 2025 SEC Women’s Tennis Tournament. The Razorbacks earned the No. 14 seed in the tournament and will face 11th-seeded (No. 40 ITA) Kentucky in the first round on Wednesday, April 16 at 9 a.m.

The Hogs and Wildcats met earlier this year on March 16, as Kentucky defeated Arkansas 4-3 in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks have a ranked duo in No. 42 Olga Bienzobas and Carolina Gomez while C. Gomez comes in at No. 77 in the ITA singles rankings this week.

No. 40 Kentucky closed out its regular season with a 4-0 win over Missouri and a 5-0 victory over St. Louis on April 13, moving them to 13-12 and 5-10 in SEC play. The Wildcats have one ranked doubles pair in No. 32 Elizabeth Eades and Elizabeth Stevens while No. 39 Zoe Hammond leads the singles lineup.

The winner of the Arkansas/Kentucky match will face sixth-seeded LSU (No. 11 ITA) on Thursday, April 17 at 9 a.m.
