Arkansas Women’s Tennis Travels to Oklahoma for SEC Tournament

The No. 14 seed Razorbacks will travel to Norman, Okla. to face No. 11 seed South Carolina in the opening round of the SEC Tournament on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.

The Hogs finished the regular season with a record of 13-13 (3-12). As a team, they are currently ranked No. 54 by the ITA. Carolina Gomez Alonso and Anet Koskel are ranked No. 20 by the ITA in doubles and Carolina Gomez Alonso is ranked No. 32 by the ITA in singles. During the regular season the Hogs defeated South Carolina 4-1 in Fayetteville.

The Gamecocks finished the regular season with a record of 12-11 (5-10). As a team, they are currently ranked No. 27 by the ITA. They have two players currently in the ITA singles rankings; Kaitlyn Carnicella is ranked No. 33, and Helena Buchwald is ranked No. 37. In the ITA doubles rankings, there are two pair of Gamecocks; No. 13 Lauren Friedman and Helena Buchwald, and No. 78 Kaitlyn Carnicella and Anna Larsson.

If the Razorbacks take down South Carolina they will face Florida in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday, April 16th at 9:00 a.m. in Norman, Okla.
