Back in Bogle for Midweek vs. Texas A&M-Commerce

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 11 Arkansas (31-12) concludes its four-game homestand with a 4 p.m. CT matchup vs. Texas A&M-Commerce (5-33) on Tuesday, April 18, at Bogle Park. The game will be available on SEC Network+ with Josh Haley and Sydney Parr on the call.

The Hogs are 18-7 at Bogle Park this year with six of those wins coming against top-25 competition. 

First Time for Everything
Tuesday night will be the first meeting between Arkansas and Texas A&M-Commerce. The Lions made the jump to Division I and the Southland Conference for 2022-23. Arkansas and Commerce have played 13 games against common opponents this season, including Arizona, Baylor, Texas A&M, Nebraska, North Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Weber State. Both teams share a win against Weber St.

Delce Deals
Fifth-year senior RHP Chenise Delce threw a two-hit shutout to power the Hogs to a 5-0, series-opening victory vs. UAB Friday. The Oklahoma City native hurled her fourth complete-game shutout of the season. Delce tied her season high in strikeouts with 12 across 7.0 IP. In 97 total pitches, Delce worked around two walks and surrendered just one extra-base hit – a double in the sixth. The reigning SEC Pitcher of the Year has gone the distance in her last seven starts. Delce retired the side in four different frames.

Freshmen Stars
Several Razorback freshmen on The Hill played well across four games last week. Center fielder Reagan Johnson tied for the team-high in hits with five and paced Arkansas in runs scored with four. Johnson slashed .385/.538/.429 with five hits, four runs scored, three RBI, one triple, one stolen base and seven total bases. In her fifth start and second complete game this season, freshman LHP Hannah Camenzind (3-2) was efficient in the circle in the game two win vs. UAB Saturday, throwing 69 total pitches. Camenzind limited UAB to one unearned run on three hits and struck out one across 5.0 innings. Camenzind did not allow an extra-base hit and walked one batter. In addition, Camenzind anchored the Razorback offense while notching her first career multi-hit performance. The Valley, Neb., product finished 2-for-3 with a team-high three RBI.
