Barun, Horwood Selected for NCAA Doubles Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After initially being named to the alternate list, the tandem of Božo Barun and Jared Horwood were selected for the NCAA Doubles Championships. Barun and Horwood are the first Razorback duo to earn a selection for the doubles draw since 2017, when Mike Redlicki and Jose Salazar advanced to the Round of 16.

Barun and Horwood posted a 5-8 record at the No. 1 position in doubles for the Hogs, including four wins against ranked opponents. The tandem collected their highest ranked victory of the season after a win against No. 10 Casey Hoole/Toby Samuel (South Carolina) while achieving a season-high ITA ranking of No. 29. The duo won their first three matches together in early March with two victories over ranked opponents.

Individually, Horwood posted an 11-14 record this dual season after playing a majority of the first half of the year with Melvin Manuel. The tandem went 5-5 together and recorded a top-10 win over No. 10 Cesar Bouchelaghem/Dzianis Zharyn (Washington).

The NCAA Doubles Championships bracket is set to be released on Sunday, May 19.
