Brendel Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

Razorback senior Tyler Brendel has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Friday.

Brendel, from Granite Bay, California, is a graduate transfer from California who has a 4.0 GPA in Statistics & Analytics and Business Analytics graduate program.

In earning a bronze medal in the heptathlon at the SEC Indoor Championships, Brendel produced a score of 5,626 points, which ranks seventh on the Arkansas all-time list. Brendel was part of a four-man Razorback heptathlon group which combined for 20 points as Arkansas claimed the team title.

The 2020 Academic All-District Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 22-25.
