Five Hogs Named WGCA All-American Scholars

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Five Razorbacks, the most ever for the program, were named All-American Scholars, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced today. Ela Anacona, Grace St-Germain, Julia Gregg, Maria Hoyos and Brooke Matthews were all selected. 1,401 women’s collegiate golfers were recognized by the WGCA today, earning a spot on the team by having a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA. The requirements for this All-American team are some of the most stringent in college athletics.

Matthews, who will be a redshirt junior this fall, has now been selected as a WGCA All-American Scholar in both of her first two competitive seasons at the University of Arkansas. For St-Germain and Hoyos, they each garnered their first-career WGCA honors. Gregg and Anacona, meanwhile, both were selected to the list as freshman.

Arkansas Women’s Golf has been a fixture on this list under Head Coach Shauna Estes-Taylor, placing at least one student-athlete on the list in 11 of her 13 seasons leading the Razorback program.
