Five-star Brendan Boland Signs with Razorbacks
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Brendan Boland, a five-star recruit and the top-rated player in the state of Arkansas, has signed with the Razorbacks, head coach Jay Udwadia announced.
Boland will join the Hogs this upcoming fall as the No. 62 overall recruit in the nation according to Tennis Recruiting Network. Boland is ranked as the top player in The Natural State and rated as a five-star recruit. Boland is also ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the Gulf States Region.
Boland comes to Fayetteville with a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of No. 903 and posted an 11-6 singles record alongside a 9-5 doubles record from 2021-22 in ITF Junior tournaments. Boland captured his only ITF Juniors singles title at the
J5 McKinney in September 2022, winning five straight matches to claim the title. In his most recent event, Boland reached the semifinals at the J5 San Diego in November 2022.
Boland is the son of Brian Boland, a four-time NCAA National Champion as the Virginia men’s tennis head coach and is a two-time recipient of ITA National Coach of the Year award. During his time with the Cavaliers, Boland won six ITA National Team Indoor championships, 13 ACC titles, and recorded a 140-match winning streak in ACC matches.
