Gammill Lands on SEC Community Service Team
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior third baseman Hannah Gammill was selected to the 2024 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced Tuesday.
The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 21 league sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
A Beebe, Ark., native and four-year starter, Gammill has been an instrumental leader on and off the field for the Razorbacks. Volunteering with St. James Outreach, Gammill works in the food pantry to assist Fayetteville citizens with any help or questions they need. Another community service project she is enthusiastic about is the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Hospital Picnic that she attended on National Child Cancer Awareness Day. Gammill provided children the opportunity to write and draw on her clears that she eventually wore on April 6 vs. Missouri.
Volunteering with the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Hospital, she visits patients and participates in other fun events on campus. With the Miracle League, Gammill assists children and adults and teaches them how to play baseball/softball while cheering and coaching them during games. Additionally, she is a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Arkansas. In her role with SAAC, Gammill acts as a liaison to the University of Arkansas, the Arkansas Athletic Department, the SEC and NCAA, advocating for herself and other student-athletes. During her junior year, she also interned at Peace at Home Family Shelter in Fayetteville, working with women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Gammill and the Razorbacks travel to Auburn, Ala., for the SEC Tournament on May 9 at Jane B. Moore Field. Earning the No. 4 seed, Arkansas will face the winner between No. 5 Missouri vs. No. 12 Kentucky/No. 13 Ole Miss in Game 2 on Thursday. The game will air on SEC Network with Kevin Brown (play-by-play), Amanda Scarborough (analyst) and Alyssa Lang (sideline) on the call.
