Gomez Alonso, Keller Finish Fall Season at ITF 15K Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Arkansas women’s tennis team’s Carolina Gomez Alonso and Kelly Keller concluded their fall seasons in the ITF 15K Champaign with Gomez Alonso advancing to the 2nd round of the singles main draw in addition to competing with Keller in the doubles main draw.

Gomez Alonso started out the tournament in the singles main draw, cruising to a 7-5, 6-4 opening round win over Jada Bui. In the next round, she faced off against Raquel Gonzalez Vilar, falling in straight sets on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Keller dropped her first round match to Xin Tong Wang, 3-6, 3-6.

Gomez Alonso and Keller teamed up for the second time this fall, playing in the doubles main draw. The duo won the first set, 6-3, before dropping the final two sets to end the tournament on Wednesday.
