Hogs Close Out K-State Invitational
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four members of the Arkansas women’s team concluded play at the K-State Invitational competing against student-athletes from Kansas State, Iowa State, South Florida and Wichita State during the event.
The Razorbacks dropped all four of their singles matches on the final day of competition in Manhattan and did not play any doubles matches on day three. Pavlechova finished the weekend with two singles victories and four wins overall after falling to Anne Knuettel (Wichita State) in straight sets. Jimena Gomez Alonso recorded two victories at the event as she dropped her match to Maralgoo Chogsomjav (Kansas State), 3-6, 2-6.
Morgan McCarthy fell to Theodora Chantava in straight sets on Sunday and ended the K-State Invitational with one doubles win alongside Gomez Alonso. Lilitha Ndungane closed out play in Manhattan with three overall victories after dropping her match to Sati Aubakirova (Wichita State), 1-6, 0-6.
The Hogs are back in action tomorrow with four members of the squad set to participate in the qualifying doubles draw at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C.
