Hogs Qualify for 20th Straight NCAA Regional

FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas women’s golf team learned its postseason fate on Wednesday afternoon, as the team has qualified for its 20th consecutive NCAA Women’s Golf Regional, 21st all-time. As the No. 8 seed, Arkansas will head to the Sunshine State for the Palm Beach Regional at the prestigious PGA National Resort.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to win a regional,” said head coach Shauna Taylor. “We learned a lot this season and are trending in a good direction. We played in Florida already this season to prepare to play in one of six regional locations. We know the weather will be good and it will give us an opportunity to accomplish one of our goals, which is to win a regional.”

The top five teams from each of the six regional sites across the country will advance to the NCAA Championship as one of 30 teams at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona from May 19-24. The NCAA most recently expanded the number of participating teams at the NCAA Championship from 24 to 30.
