Hogs Run Ends at NCAA Championships

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – No. 18 Arkansas Women’s Golf ended their run at the NCAA Championships, finishing tied for 22nd place after the third round of stroke play. The Razorbacks posted a 49-over 913 (307-305-301) over three rounds of stroke play.

Junior Kajal Mistry had a fantastic third round to move up 22 spots on the individual leaderboard, finishing tied of 34th place. Mistry shot an even-par third round, courtesy of four birdies to end at 7-over through 54 holes. Junior Julia Gregg also earned a share of 34th place, firing three bogeys followed by a birdie to card a four-over 76 in the third round of stroke play. The duo went into a playoff, falling to Hailey Borja of Michigan and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard of Oklahoma State for a chance at the NCAA Individual National Championship.

Ela Anacona carded a six-over 78 in the third round of stroke play, firing three birdies through the back nine to finish tied for 106th place through 54 holes.

Rounding out the Hogs’ lineup were sophomore Miriam Ayora and freshman Giovanna Fernandez. Ayora ended her run with a three-over 75. Fernandez finished her first NCAA Championships by carding a six-over 78 in her third round.
