Jallow-Lockhart, McElroy named to SEC Community Service team

FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback seniors Sanu Jallow-Lockhart and Steven McElroy were named to the 2026 SEC Community Service track and field team as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, the Southeastern Conference highlights athletes from each school who gives back to the community through superior service efforts.

Jallow-Lockhart and McElroy both participated in Shop with the Razorbacks, an annual event for elementary students within Northwest Arkansas and had opportunity to take 28 families holiday shopping.

Volunteering her time at numerous Fayetteville Public Schoos, Jallow-Lockhart helped with reading and lunch buddies, as well as several school specific pep rallies focused on leadership and teamwork. She also volunteered at the annual MLK Youth Day event. This event, in collaboration with the local NAACP chapter, helps share Dr. King’s legacy.

McElroy participated in Razorcalls program in which he volunteered on weekly Zoom calls with schools across Arkansas. He also volunteered with Fayetteville Public Schools and Boys and Girls Club. As a member of SAAC, McElroy was an integral part in planning all the community service events for student-athletes.
