Jaydon Hibbert named 2023 Field Scholar Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS – Academic honors for Arkansas include Jaydon Hibbert being named 2023 Indoor and Outdoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year while the Razorback men were the Indoor National Scholar Team of the Year.

Those accolades and All-Academic honors were announced by USTFCCCA on Thursday.

This is the first team honor for Arkansas men since 2015 while Hibbert becomes the first Razorback to receive the honor. Hibbert is just the third field event athlete to sweep the honors, joining Arizona State’s Turner Washington (2021) and Ryan Whiting (2010).

In addition, Hibbert was among 14 members of the team who earned All-Academic honors from USTFCCCA.

Jeremy Farr and Matthew Lewis-Banks each collected a fourth honor, while Myles Richter and Daniel Spejcher received their third accolade. Earning a second honor are Brandon Battle, Jacob McLeod, Ralford Mullings, Ayden Owens-Delerme, and Brevin Sims.

Other Razorbacks earning the honor for the first time in addition to Hibbert includes Chris Bailey, Ethan Carney, Tomas Ferrari, and Rojé Stona.
