Kateri Poole Signs with Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s basketball got another portal pickup, with the signing of guard Kateri Poole from Houston.
The Bronx, New York, native enters her final season of eligibility after stops at Ohio State, LSU and Houston. Poole was a key part in LSU’s rotation for its 2023 National Championship season, with 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 22 minutes per game.

AT HOUSTON
Graduate (2025-26)
- Appeared in seven games before being sidelined due to injury
- Averaged 3.9 points per game and 1.4 steals per game
- Recorded three steals in season opener vs. UT Arlington (Nov. 4)
- Scored five points vs. Rice (Nov. 11)
- Recorded a season high 8 points and 3 rebounds against Arkansas State (Nov. 28)
Redshirt Senior (2024-25)
- Did not see action due to injury.
AT LSU
Senior (2023-24)
- Made four appearances for the Tigers
- Scored a season high four points and five rebounds against Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 12).
Junior (2022-23)
- Played a critical role for LSU during its National Championship season, playing in 35 games and starting six
- Came off the bench through much of the regular season but started in the final five games of the NCAA Tournament
- Averaged 4.5 points and 2.4 assists during the season
- Came up big for the Tigers in the National Championship gamer against Iowa, making both of her three point attempts, including the dagger with 1:11 left in the game.
AT OHIO STATE
Sophomore (2021-22)
- Played in 25 games, making 13 starts
- Averaged 4.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 16.1 minutes per game
- Scored in double figures in four games
- Scored a season-high 12 points in back-to-back games against Bellarmine (11/23) and Cincinnati (11/27).
Freshman (2020-21)
- Played in all 20 games and started the final five games
- Named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team
- Averaged 6.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 18.2 minutes of action
- Had four games of 10 or more points
- Fourth on the team with 39 assists
- Made first collegiate start vs. Purdue (2/18) and was 3-of-6 from long range for nine points to go along with a season-high seven assists
HIGH SCHOOL
- Five-star recruit ranked No. 24 in the class by ESPN Hoopgurlz
- Named Miss New York by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York
- Earned first team All-State in 2020 and second team in 2019
- Averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists as a senior at South Shore
- Was the MVP of the Kyrie Invitational at the Barclays Center in December of 2019
- Posted a rare quadruple-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals vs. Truman on Jan. 8
- Played at Monsignor Scanlan H.S. for three seasons before transferring to South Shore
- Led Monsignor to a runner-up finish in the state tournament in 2019
- Averaged 18.4 points and 5.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as a junior.
