Langerman Tabbed to CSC Academic All-District Team

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s basketball student-athlete Rylee Langerman has earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. This comes the same week Langerman was also tabbed to the SEC Community Service Team for the second consecutive year.

Langerman is a biology, pre-medicine major who has maintained an impressive 3.96 cumulative GPA. As one of the top students in her class, Langerman has earned a 4.0 GPA all but one semester to be awarded to the President’s List, as well as a 3.9 GPA to be called to the Dean’s List one semester. Langerman is an SEC Academic Honor Roll and SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll recipient.

On the court, Langerman’s stats don’t always show up on the box score, but her presence on the court is felt in a positive way. She has a play named after her called a “Rylee,” which are plays not always shown up on the box score, such as hustle plays, 50/50 balls, passion plays, etc. She has played in all 29 games and leads the bench in minutes played. Langerman logged a season-high 10 points against Tulsa, as well as matched a career-high four steals three times this season. She has knocked down 14 shots from beyond the arc and oftentimes leads the team in +/-.

Academic All-District Team members, like Langerman, advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Langerman and the team will travel to Starkville, Mississippi to take on Mississippi State on Thursday, Feb. 23 for an 8 p.m. tipoff on SEC Network.
