Men's Tennis Announces Spring Slate of Matches

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Men’s Tennis and Razorback Head Coach Andy Jackson announced on Saturday the 2021 spring slate of matches that is set to begin on January 15th. The Hogs will host six of their first seven matches before kicking off SEC play at Mississippi State on Feb. 19. After a cancellation of the 2020 season, the Razorbacks will get the chance to host the SEC Tournament in Fayetteville for the first time since 2008.

The Razorbacks open the season by hosting Omaha in a double header on Friday, Jan. 15. Arkansas downed the Mavericks last season by a score of 6-1. The Hogs then travel to face Oklahoma State, who finished No. 16 in the last ITA rankings of 2020, before a five-game homestand against non-conference opponents.

Arkansas’ home conference schedule is highlighted by matches with six different squads that finished in the top 50 of last year’s ITA rankings, including No. 10 Texas A&M (March 14), No. 11 Georgia (April 2) and No. 12 Tennessee (April 4). The Hogs wrap up SEC competition by hosting the SEC Tournament at the Billingsley Tennis Center from April 19-23. It will be just the third time (1996, 2008) in school history that Arkansas has hosted the tournament in Fayetteville.

NCAA Tournaments will start May 7 with the first and second rounds of the NCAA Team Championships and run throughout the month.
