Men's Tennis Lands Horwood Ahead of Fall Season

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Head coach Jay Udwadia has officially announced the signing of Arizona transfer Jared Horwood for the 2023-24 Razorback men’s tennis season.

The Canadian native joins the Razorbacks as a graduate transfer after playing five seasons at the Arizona. Horwood was a mainstay in the doubles lineup and played a significant role for the Wildcats, as he accumulated a record of 13-9 in singles and 24-12 in doubles over the last two seasons, and was a member of last season’s Wildcat team that made school history. Arizona went on to win its second-straight Pac-12 regular season championship, hosted rounds in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever, and compiled a 14-0 record at home.

In his junior year with the Wildcats, Horwood played and won one dual match in singles during the spring while finishing with a 6-1 dual record in doubles. As a sophomore, he amassed an 8-6 record in the fall before his spring season ended early due to COVID-19. During his freshman season, Horwood won three singles matches and went 4-2 in doubles play in the fall.
