Men's Tennis on the road at No. 2 Florida, No. 10 South Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –Razorback Men’s Tennis resumes SEC play when the squad travels to Gainesville, Fla. and Columbia, S.C. to face No. 2 Florida (14-1, 8-0 SEC) and No. 10 South Carolina (10-6, 5-3 SEC) this weekend.

Last Time Out 

The Hogs won their fourth-straight doubles point in a match at UCF, but the Knights went on to seal the victory in singles action at the USTA National Campus on Wednesday, Mar. 24. Hunter Harrison and Enrique Paya upset No. 21 Hilderbrand/Decamps at the No. 1 spot, while Melvin Manuel and Adrien Burdet moved to 4-0 with a victory on the second court.

Scouting the Gators 

Florida is riding an 11-match winning streak with their lone loss coming against then No. 6 Texas in Austin. The Gators are 8-0 at home and undefeated in conference play. UF has three players ranked in the top 15, including No. 2 Duarte Vale and No. 7 Andy Andrade. Vale has won six-straight and is 11-3 at the No. 1 spot while Andrade is 12-3 in singles during the dual season. 

The pairing of Will Grant and Johannes Ingildsen is 9-1 in the dual season and was ranked No. 9 by the ITA on Wednesday. 

Scouting the Gamecocks 

Four Gamecocks were listed in the latest ITA rankings released on Mar. 24. Daniel Rodrigues and Toby Samuel have combined for a 22-5 record during the dual season and are ranked No. 3 and No. 70 in the nation, respectively. Connor Thomson and Raphael Lambling were also ranked in the top 90 by the ITA. 

South Carolina won the doubles point in their last two matches against No. 16 NC State and No. 1 North Carolina and has two duos in the ITA rankings.
