Men's Tennis set for first road test against Oklahoma

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback men’s tennis team is set for the squads first road trip this spring when it travels to Norman, Okla. for a matchup with Oklahoma (4-3) tomorrow. Arkansas is coming off a double header when it beat Omaha and upset No. 5 Baylor last weekend.

Oklahoma upset No. 24 Kentucky in its last outing on Feb. 2, 5-2. The Sooners opened with the doubles point and then added four wins in singles action to move to 4-3 on the season. Mason Beiler is ranked 71st nationally with a 2-1 record at the No. 2 spot this season while Justin Schlageter is undefeated in singles play and ranked 92nd.

Last Time Out

Arkansas won a pair of matches last weekend when it downed the Mavericks and upset No. 5 Baylor. After dropping the doubles point against the Bears, the Razorbacks picked up four singles wins to get the victory. Josh Howard-Tripp clinched the upset win in his first singles match of the spring. After breezing through the first set, 6-3, Howard-Tripp dropped the next nine sets and found himself trailing 0-3 in the third set. The junior fought back and earned the clincher in the tiebreak.
