Men's Tennis set for road trip to Tulsa

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team (4-3) is back on the road to face the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (5-3) at the Case Tennis Center on Wednesday, Feb. 19. This will be just the second road trip for the Hogs this season. First serve in Tulsa, Okla. is set for 6:00 p.m.

After starting the season with five straight wins, Tulsa has dropped its last three matches, including two to teams ranked in the ITA top-10. In its most recent outing, the Golden Hurricane fell to fellow conference member Alabama on Feb. 7, 6-1, in Tuscaloosa.

Tulsa is led by 26th-ranked Kody Pearson who is 3-3 during the dual season at the No. 1 spot. Boriss Kamdem, Daniel Siddall and Tom Thelwall-Jones have combined for a 9-0 dual season record while Stefan Hampe is undefeated at No. 2 singles.

Last Time Out

The Razorbacks edged the Memphis Tigers at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday, Feb. 15, 4-3. Arkansas took the doubles point for just the second time this season and then picked up the first two singles victories before Memphis rattled off three straight wins. Freshman Melvin Manuel dropped the first set but fought back to secure the final two sets and the win for the Hogs.
