Men’s Tennis Wraps Up First Tournaments of Fall Schedule
The Arkansas men’s tennis team’s fall schedule is underway, and the Hogs have played in multiple tournaments over the last few weeks.
Ben Weintraub has represented the Hogs and his home country of Israel at the Davis Cup in Slovenia and the ITF Hungary M15 in Budapest. Jakub Vrba has made appearances in the ITF M15 Champaign tournament in Champaign, Ill. and the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
Brendan Boland, Louis Hull, Timothee Andriveau and Connor Smillie all made their fall debuts at the Midland Invitational in Midland, Texas in early September, with all playing singles and doubles. Rudy Ceccon and Gabriel Elicha Navas were also in action that weekend at the HotelPlanner UTR Shootout 20K in Tulsa, Okla.
Vrba, Boland, Andriveau and Smillie all participated in the ITA All-American Championships this past week, while Lukas Palovic and Elicha Navas headed east to compete in the UTR PTT Norfolk. Vrba was featured in the Main Singles Draw at All-American Championships while Boland and Andriveau were in the prequalifying selections. Smillie and Boland played in the prequalifying bracket for doubles.
