No. 1 Women's Golf Advances to Match Play at Stephens Cup
OKLAHOMA CITY – The top-ranked Arkansas women’s golf team, fresh off a win at the Dale McNamara Invitational last week, is moving on to match play as one of the top four teams after three rounds of stroke play at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club (Par 70).
Despite windy conditions, the Hogs finished stroke play in second place (+41, 877) behind No. 13 Oregon (+26, 862). For rounds one and two, the wind blew steadily between 15-20 mph and occasional gusts over 30 mph. Birdies were few and far between for the entire field and the Razorbacks averaged just four per round.
Three Hogs collected top 10 finishes: Reagan Zibilski (5th, +8), Clarisa Temelo (T6, +9) and Maria José Marin (T8, +10). Zibilski, the McNamara individual champion, added her third top-10 finish of the fall season. Temelo and José Marin also picked up their third top-10 finishes in 2024.
The Hogs and Ducks will compete tomorrow to determine the team champion beginning at 12:10 p.m. Live coverage on Golf Channel will begin at 3:00 p.m.
