No. 10 Arkansas Plays to 1-1 Draw at Loyola Maryland

BALTIMORE – No. 10 Arkansas soccer picked up its draw of the 2026 season on Sunday after a 1-1 finish at Loyola Maryland.

The Hogs struck first in the 28th minute after senior midfielder Kennedy Ball was fouled inside the penalty box. Midfielder Zoe Susi converted from the spot to improve to 3-3 on penalty kicks in her career.

Arkansas ended the half with another chance after freshman forward MacKenzie Gwin was fouled just outside the top of the box with three minutes left. Junior midfielder Aniyah Nurse-Whyte took a pacey kick after some misdirection but it sailed just high.

The Hogs finished the first 45 minutes ahead in shots, 7-2, and corners 4-2.

Loyola answered 10 minutes into the second half with a corner kick goal scored by midfielder Reagan Mallia that eluded Razorback defenders on the goal line.

Arkansas drew several fouls around the 18-yard box following the game-tying goal but failed to find success on its set pieces. The closest chance came in the 81st minute when Nurse-Whyte was fouled near the corner. Susi, who took most of the Hogs’ free kicks on Sunda, connected with Bella Field inside the six-yard box but Loyola goalkeeper Hannah Goetzer made a diving save to keep the score 1-1.

The Hogs dominated in shots, 16-3, and lead in corners 8-6.

Arkansas goalkeeper Keegan Smith did not make any saves but punched out a dangerous corner in the first half.
