No. 26 Men's Tennis edged by No. 22 Alabama

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 26 Razorback Men’s Tennis was edged by No. 22 Alabama on Sunday afternoon at the Billingsley Tennis Center, 5-2. Arkansas picked up wins from Nico Rousset and freshman Avery Zavala.

Rousset downed 74th-ranked Edson Ortiz, the reigning SEC Player of the Week, by a score of 6-4, 7-6. The junior easily took the second set tiebreaker, 7-3, after splitting the first two sets to claim court one. Zavala made his first appearance in singles action since Feb. 12 against Oral Roberts. The freshman won his second match of the dual season in straight sets over Vincent Rettke, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).

The Hogs will host the Wichita State Shockers for the regular season finale on Friday, April 16. First serve at the Billingsley Tennis Center is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.
