No. 6 Arkansas Prepares For Home And Road Battles

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Following a break from competition last weekend the No. 6 Arkansas men’s track and field team will return to action Feb. 9-10 with its sprinters and field event competitors at home in Fayetteville for the Tyson Invitational and its distance runners on the road at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash.

Tyson Teams
The Tyson Invitational will feature 32 collegiate teams and a slew of sponsored professionals competing at the ‘Fastest Track in the World.’ Among the 32 collegiate teams, nine of them rank inside the national top-25 including: No. 6 Arkansas, No. 9 Virginia Tech, No. 11 Indiana, No. 13 Houston, No. 14 Colorado, No. 16 Texas, No. 22 Florida State, No. 23 Kansas and No. 24 Auburn.

“You’re always looking for someone to push you,” assistant coach Doug Case said. “We’ve got Iowa, Auburn, Kansas, Texas, LSU, Purdue, I mean it’s a good, good field here. The Tyson meet always produces a great field. They know it’s a great place to run and the track is really fast. If you look at the sprints events, the majority of the good people are coming to run those events this weekend.”
